Having known of Alex Boguskey (@brogusky) for quite some time through his awesome YouTube channel “Joy of Bike” as well as being a leader in the world of advertising (Crispin Porter Bogusky), I was so stoked to finally connect in person to record Episode 7. We met at Valmont Bike Park in Boulder where many of his videos are shot, and over the course of a couple hours we touched on many things. Alex shared stories of growing up in Miami at the forefront of the BMX era, friends that become brothers through a shared connection, the pure joy and freedom that a bike can bring, and that sometimes it can also bring such unexpected heartache. Ending with smiles, appreciation, learning, laughs and awareness, it’s an episode I feel lucky to share.
